Up for sale is one (1) original complete copy of Sports Illustrated magazine dated January 8, 1979. It commemorates the Alabama Crimson Tide's Sugar Bowl victory over Joe Paterno's Penn State Nittany Lions, which earned Alabama the 1978 National Championship. The cover depicts the famous Goal Line Stand, one of the most well-known series' of plays in Alabama football history. This is an original copy, not a reproduction, with all pages in tact. It has no creases. The corners are in good condition for the magazine being over 30 years old. Please see the photos showing the corners. This would make an excellent addition to any Bama fan's memorabilia collection, and is very hard to find!
