The "Virginia Tech Hokie Tunnel Stone" is a polyethylene replica moulded from the Hokie stone mounted above the Lane Stadium entrance to Worsham Field. Each Virginia Tech Hokie Tunnel Stone is custom manufactured and painted. While the original stone probably weighs in excess of 250 pounds your "Hokie Tunnel Stone" replica actually weighs less than 4 pounds and can be displayed both inside and out. The overall size of the "Tunnel Stone" is 22" wide x 7" high x 3" deep. Included in the shipment of the stone is a poster that includes the VT logo and reads "For those who played, For those to come...Reach for Excellence". This poster is recreated from the acrylic mounted signs that are to the left and right of the stone inside the tunnel.
The instructions and two #10 screws and wall anchors to mount your "Virginia Tech Hokie Tunnel Stone" above a doorway, in your library, apartment, or favorite Hokie area is included in the packaging. All you have to do is drill 2 holes approximately 10" apart (will vary) on a level plane with a 1/4" drill bit and insert the wall anchors and screws The wooden piece adhered to the inside of the stone is key slotted so all you have to do is slide your "Virginia Tech Hokie Tunnel Stone" over the head of the screws. Because each stone is custom made you may have to alter the distance of the screws protruding from the wall to about 3/8".
